Dylan K. Chan, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in Residence and he is the Director of the Children’s Communication Center (CCC) in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ONHS) at the University of California, San Francisco. He received his PhD in Sensory Neuroscience from the Rockefeller University in New York, and he obtained his medical degree from Weill Medical College of Cornell University, New York. Dr. Chan completed his ONHS residency from Stanford University School of Medicine, California, followed by a Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship at the Seattle Children’s Hospital, Washington. He is the principal investigator of the Chan Lab, which is interested in investigating the pathophysiology and genetics of hearing loss and the development of gene therapy for hearing restoration.
